Today I was reading about Moses and his final speech to the children of Israel. He knows that God is not allowing him to go into the Promised Land and he is handing his ministry off to Joshua. As he speaks he starts out his song about the Lord. Deuteronomy 32: 3-4 3 Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
How many of us when things don’t go our way can truly praise God, for He is Just? This was an amazing look into the meek heart of Moses. He was wholeheartedly a man of God. Yet God is always just. He is perfect. How many of us love God this much? To proclaim his greatness even when things aren’t going our way. Big disappointments in life can really challenge our loyalty to Christ. Moses did not waver. Lord, give me humility to completely trust you are in control, no matter how fair or unfair things may seem. You are Just.
